1962 Kay K1983 Style Leader Jimmy Reed - Sunburst1962 Kay K1983 Style Leader Jimmy Reed model. The year is approximate these were offered from 1960 1965. This guitar is all original except for the vintage Grovers on it (that are worth quite a bit on their own). Really cool styling on this one and it sounds great. There is a little bit of fret buzz on the higher frets, but I'm not sure I've ever had a Kay that played perfectly. Big full neck and a nice weight. Comes with a gig bag. This item is

All hardware is original except for 1 tuner
This started life as a 1950's Kay Sherwood De Luxe
The original frets are a little low
2017 Fender Custom Shop '61 Telecaster in aged black finish
and the original case
with the only modification being the strap locks (original strap buttons are in the case)
It has an aged nitro Goldburst lacquer finish
The perfect bedroom or apartment amp
One 1/4" piece of the binding by the nut was redone
Comes with a nice hard case in good shape
