Hydrangeas at the VillaI painted this work after visiting Turin's Villa della Regina on a hot July day that really exemplified an Italian summer. As the sun beat down upon the hilled garden landscape behind the Villa, I couldn't help but notice how elegantly large bushes of blue, pink and white hydrangea were thriving alongside the evocative architectural complex.
