Lot 066 - Antique 1/4th Plate Daguerreotype Photograph, Portrait Of A Young Man In Suit And Cravat, In Frame, 5-1/2" x 6An antique 1 4th plate daguerreotype photograph depicting a young man in a dark suit and cravat. The image retains its brass mat and cover glass. The gilt wood frame is a replacement, made in house, as the original leatherette case was damaged beyond repair. The original red velvet pillow with embossed leaf motif is preserved on the verso of the frame.
The back of the baby's composition head is marked "A Horsman Doll
and Coffin
