Orvis CFO IV Fly Reel - screwbackFor sale here is an early 70's Orvis CFO IV fly reel the screwback model with three holes in the reel foot. Excellent condition.
The rod overall is in excellent condition
The reel is in excellent used condition with original case
Aluminum up-locking reel seat with a fine wood spacer
but it is not too excessive and it cannot be felt while winding the reel
is also engraved in the brass collar of the tube
The springs are nice and tight
The spool in the original box
The tips thin tips allow for great tippet protection and delicate presentations - a superb rod
the script remains clean and bold though the serial number on the butt is half worn off
Setup for right hand retrieve although Joe can change it to left if desired
A very nice classic Hardy
